CAT wants to provide children in our schools with a world class education, focused on the areas which will equip them with the skills needed in their future adult life, not just the skills of literacy, numeracy and ICT, but also the personal, social and life-long learning skills that are so important in the 21st century.
Our children will be given opportunities to gain valuable qualifications in academic and vocational subjects and have a love of learning but beyond the core curriculum, school should be much more than just time in lessons. All children should have the opportunity to engage in the arts, in sporting and community activities. We want our children to leave school with passions and interests that they continue to enjoy throughout their life.
Children in our schools will be part of a learning community in which they are known and respected as an individual. Through a learning coach programme they will have a close working relationship with an adult who will be there to support and guide them throughout their time in school and help them benefit from the experience of outstanding teachers.
