‘Improving’ Northampton school is no longer subject to ‘special measures’

We are delighted to announce that Lumbertubs Primary School, located in Northampton, is no longer subject to ‘special measures’ and our congratulations go out to all the staff and governors, as well as the CAT team, who have worked with the school.

Chief Executive Officer, Kevin Crossley, said “The academy has been rightly praised for the improvements which have been made in under two years. Furthermore, the rating of ‘good’ for ‘leadership and judgement’ is public acknowledgement of the role Headteacher Ceri Cook and her deputy Sue Waller, have played in those improvements.

“I was also pleased to note Ofsted’s recognition that ‘the incisive support of the our academy learning adviser has been instrumental in supporting school leaders to bring about these changes in teachers’ performance and pupils’ outcomes’.”
